The launch of the 5G Moto Mod – the first ever 5G-enabled phone – happened around April Fools’.  Among other things, we created this video to run on 4/1.

Instead of just making another smartphone ad we decided to generate interest by going retro. We put the Motorola brick phone – the first cell phone ever – back for sale. The joke helped not only the 5G Moto Mod pre-sales sell-out but we also got quite a few enquiries for the brick phone itself.

The post lead you to a landing page that lets people in on the joke and drives them to the 5G Moto Mod product page.
